Cooking a romantic dinner for two sounds better than it generally ends up being. What you’re thinking is a bottle of wine, soulful looks into one another’s eyes, and maybe a little joke that you two will remember and laugh about for years and years. What you get is a messed up steak that was overdone two minutes ago but you still haven’t pulled from the stove because you’re trying to get this tart to look like it does in the picture and the potatoes are probably already cold and How the hell do you get out those steins?
Most of the problems with cooking a romantic dinner stem from confusing “complicated” with “good.” That’s why I came up with the list below that is bound to succeed by picking a dish you know you can pull off with a minimum of sweat and swearing.
1. Lemon Garlic Pasta Recipe
It’s hard to mess up pasta, so that’s a good start. This one has the advantage of being delicious without presenting the risk of a sauce that’s going to ruin the tablecloth you’ve never used before.
2. Coconut Shrimp with Sweet and Spicy Dipping Sauce
Whats better then an awesome fried shrimp? Yummy and easy to execute!
3. ONE PAN CREAMY CHICKEN MARSALA WITH PASTA
This dish legitimately could make someone fall in love with you. Chicken thighs are folded over creamy cheese and seared on all sides. Then it is simmered gently with mushrooms, onions and Marsala wine for the perfect creamy sauce.
4. BEER CHEESE FONDUE WITH ROASTED VEGGIES
Beer cheese fondue is the perfect date night idea! Roast a ton of veggies, chop up some bread and whisk together this easy cheese sauce.
5. SALTED DARK CHOCOLATE CARAMEL TART
Finally for the dessert a delicious SALTED DARK CHOCOLATE CARAMEL TART…If only I could eat the words…YUMMY!
